Weekend Recap (3/15-3/17)

My weekend was full of lots of food and St Patrick’s day shenanigans. Here’s how it played out:

Friday night I went to the Korean market to do a little food shopping. With my panda obsession, my growing love for seaweed, and now socializing at the local Asian hang-outs, I consider myself an honorary Asian.

I didn’t know what a bunch of the products were because the labels were all in Korean/Japanese/Chinese, but it was fun to peruse the aisles! And I did figure out what some of the foods were and definitely did some damage, exhibit A:

So many goodies!

And all that food shopping wore me out! So of course I went out to eat 🙂 I ended up at a local bar and grille for an adult pink lemonade, and some fun munchies:

Spinach and artichoke dip, SO GOOD.

And a buffalo chicken wrap and homemade chips. Not the prettiest picture, but it was delicious and I had leftovers for lunch on Saturday!

Not the prettiest picture, but it was delicious and I had leftovers for lunch the next day, score! On Saturday morning, I hit up the gym and got a 4 mile run in. The rest of the afternoon was spent going on a hunt to find as much green garb as possible. I hit up 2 different dollar stores, a department store, and a party store. I guess waiting until the last minute to get decked out for St patrick’s day was not a great idea. All of the St Patrick’s day fun clothing and accessories were really picked over. I ended up with a green shirt, big shamrock earrings, plenty of green beads, and light up shamrock glasses. When we arrived at the bar that night, the first thing that happened was some Irish car bombs!

There was plenty of beer and the Irish instrumental players (even a harp player!) kept the Irish fun going all night. A lot of this happened:

And I can’t forget to mention the awesome company!

Sunday was a nice and relaxing day that I spent recovering from the activities of the night before. A nap may have occurred. And there was definitely some Parks and Rec.

Thoughts??

What did you do this weekend? Any fun St. Patrick’s day shenanigans?

Do you like to dress up for holidays? I’ll use any holiday as an excuse to dress up!
