Honey Stinger Product Review & Giveaway!

I am always on the hunt for some new miracle product that will provide me with a jolt of energy  – whether it be to run that extra mile or to get through a slow afternoon at work.  But at the same time, I want the product to contain healthy ingredients, right? Who doesn’t want that?!  This search led me to the awesome people at Honey Stinger. They have a variety of different products, something everyone could enjoy.

Their products contain honey (duh) which is believed to be a great natural source of energy because it is easily absorbed by the body as fuel. If you’re interested, head on over to Runner’s World for some more information on honey. Anyway, I was super excited when I received a package loaded with all different goodies.

Here’s a breakdown of all the different products I sampled:

Honey Stinger Energy Bar:

  • Comes in Blueberry Buzz, Cinnamon Apple, Peanut Butter & Honey, Berry Banana Buzz, and Rocket Chocolate (I tried the blueberry and peanut butter flavor- both tasted amazing!)
  • Bars are made with over 30% honey
  • 5g of protein
  • Contain 23 vitamins and minerals like Vitamin A,Vitamin E, B-complex vitamins and zinc
Man, this blueberry bar tasted amazing! I liked the yogurt on the bottom :)

Organic Stinger Waffles:

  • First of all, I LOVE the taste of these. I tried Vanilla, Chocolate, and Honey flavored waffles. They were like eating an awesome cookie, so soft! They also come in Lemon and Strawberry flavored.
  • “For years, waffles have been sold throughout Europe and eaten by professional cyclists, so Honey Stinger decided to create its own take on the waffle. Honey Stinger Organic Waffles are the only product of their kind that’s certified organic and available in a single-serving wrapper.” Essentially, it’s a good source of carbs to fuel your body on-the-go.
  • While not stellar in the fiber and protein department, I could pronounce all of the ingredients on the food label. That’s always a plus.

Organic Energy Gels:

  • Come in Vanilla, Acai Pomegranate, and Fruit smoothie flavors. 
  • Besides containing honey, these gels also contain essential electrolytes like sodium and potassium
  • USDA organic ingredients

Have you ever tried having a gel for breakfast in the morning on a slice of toast? Energy for breakfast!

Protein Bars:

  • They have bars available with either 10g or 20g of whey protein.
  • I tried Dark Chocolate Mint Almond (it’s a 10g bar) and it tasted like a thin mint but in protein form 🙂
  • They have bars for everyone’s palette with mocha, cherry, and peanut butter flavors.
  • Made of 25% or more organic honey
  • Contain 22 vitamins and minerals like calcium, iron, and zinc.

Organic Energy Chews:

  • Come in Pink Lemonade, Caffeinated Lime-ade, Orange Blossom, Pomegranate Passion, Fruit Smoothie, and Cherry Blossom flavors
  • Lime-ade flavor gets its 32mg of caffeine naturally from white tea
  • Recommended that you take 5-10 chews during exercise
  • Made with gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO ingredients
  • One package will satisfy your Vitamin C needs for the day
  • Chews actually have 1g of protein and 1g of fiber which are derived from organic tapioca syrup and honey. I think this is pretty cool considering they’re a gummy fruit snack!

I’ve seen the energy chews in sporting stores and all the products I sampled are available in single packs, boxes, and cases on their online store.

I loved the waffles so much that Honey Stinger is allowing me to host a giveaway! I’m giving away a box of Lemon Organic Honey Stinger Waffles (16 individually wrapped waffles) to two winners!
