Day 3 of Insanity and How I Recovered After

Happy Friday, blogging world! So happy to have a nice weekend ahead of me. Now, if I could only get through this pesky work day…

Last night I took another shot at Insanity and did the Power Cardio and Resistance DVD. It was a doozy. Even after only doing it three times, I feel like I can keep up a little better and take fewer breaks though. But I wish I looked a lot more like this girl:

But instead I still look and feel a lot like this girl:

This workout had me doing lots of power jumps, moving push-ups, and belt kicks. I was really wishing I had worn a dry wick shirt instead of a cotton t-shirt. There was a distinct moment in the workout when I was wondering how many different drops of sweat were simultaneously running down my forehead. Yeah, I went there. Gross but oddly satisfying.

Then after the workout I powered up with a antipasto loaded up with some favorites:

antipastoIt included mixed greens, a slice of provolone cheese, a slice of genoa salami, red and green bell peppers, carrots, 1/2 cup chicken salad, and about a 1/4 cup of Chipotle Ranch Suddenly Salad pasta salad. I also added some ground flax seed and a few dashes of hot sauce. It really doesn’t even need any dressing, the pasta salad has a fun and tangy sauce that spreads well throughout.

If you’re interested in the Suddenly Salad stats, here ya go!

They’re not too bad for an easy, quick, and tasty carb fix. It makes a decent amount of pasta so you can easily save it in the fridge for lunch or for other salads later.

Then I spent the night relaxing watching some Sons of Anarchy. I’m watching the episodes on Netflix and am only on season two so shhh please no spoilers 🙂 Seriously though, awesome show. Addicted.
